PLEASE NOTE! Although our address town is Oban we are over 70 miles by road from Oban. However the reason for this is that our mail comes from Oban, onto the Isle of Mull and then over on the Fishnish Ferry to us. A journey you can could take too, it is a popular route for those touring the West of Scotland.

We may may seem remote, but we are closer than you might think and are easily accessible by road or water. Here’s information on the various ways you can get here :

Caledonian MacBrayne ferries from the Isle of Mull will take you over to Lochaline. Full details, timetable and booking are on the Calmac Website (please note there is a different timetable for summer and winter).

  • Oban to Craignure Ferry Please pre book your crossing
  • Lochaline to Fishnish Ferry No need to pre book just pay on the ferry
  • Bus service information for Mull. If coming by public transport, traveling via Oban is the best option. The Craignure to Tobermory service stops at the Fishnish Lochaline ferry terminal.

 

​By Road A82 and The Corran Ferry runs at regular 30 minute intervals between Nether Lochaber (south of Fort William A82) and Ardgour. The crossing takes less than 5 minutes and operates from 6.30am (8.30am on Sundays) and 9.30pm all year round. There is no need to pre book, you pay on the ferry. Full details are here and you can keep up to date with sailings on the Twitter feed. Take the ferry and turn left onto the A86. After 12 miles turn left for Lochaline . Follow the  A884 until you reach Lochaline.

BUS & RAIL

There are regular national rail and bus services to Fort William and Oban, from where a car can be hired. There are busses, it is a bi-weekly rural service, from Fort William, and daily  service ( via Mull) from Oban.
